Turkoise Turks and Caicos

I have been to Club Med many times and Turkoise is my favorite village. I traveled with three female friends (who have never been to Club Med) for a 50th birthday (our ages: 58, 50, 39, 33). We were some of the younger GM’s in the village. The crowd was noticeably older than in years past.

First of all, shout outs to our favorite GO’s (and there were a lot):
-The whole Sailing Team. This team was the nicest in many years. Led by the talented Rafael, who I had met at Columbus Isle last year, the all male team of Nathan, Erik, Loic, and Raphael were so great. On day one they already learned my name and happily greeted me every time I went to sailing (which was typically two to three times a day). We also enjoyed eating dinner with Rafa a couple of times.
-The whole Circus Team. Mason, Jake, Jacob, Morgan and Elise were so welcoming! I have been on the trapeze many times, but my friends had never done it. In true GO fashion, they all made everyone feel welcome and successful, and remembered everyone’s names. I was invited to be in the trapeze show, and so was one of my friends. She was very nervous about it but the GO’s stayed positive and calmed her down. She did the show, made her catch, and was beyond excited. Being in the show with the team made us really feel part of Club Med. That was a treat.
-Max Land Sports. I also met Max last April in Columbus Isle. He was great then, and we had even more fun this year. I went to some of his exercise classes and all of us used the gym during off hours. He made sure we knew how to connect to the music, which made working out much better. We’d see him around everywhere. He was super friendly. We had dinner one night with Max, and Max Tennis, who was also a gem.

The live music at Sharkies and at the main bar before dinner was fun. Talented people. For excursions, we did the sailing Armada to Iguana Island (always a favorite of mine). This excursion is included. Two of my friends did an outside excursion on jet skis to the shipwreck and floating tiki hut bar. They loved it. We went on the snorkel boat (Julien and Tony were nice), also included. The foam party at the pool was so fun, and seeing the GO’s dressed up in silly costumes made it even more festive. And you can’t beat this beach. It will never disappoint. Overall, we had a great trip.

Nice resort, but rooms needs to be refreshed. Service was so-so, not a lot of smiles or even good mood. It felt like many employees were jaded. I would have given the place a 2 stars, if it were not for the circus team which saved my week! Morgan, Élise, Mason, Jacob and Jake made my stay a fun and memorable one. They are talented, love what they do, share their passion with us and their fun mood was contagious! And their shows at night were the best! A special thanks to Jake who introduced me to the Lyra (aerial hoop) - which I will continue learning back home.

This was my first Club Med experience, and if other locations are as good as this one, I am hooked. The food was exceptional... self-serve only (except for burgers at Sharkies), but the variety and quality was excellent. I sometimes asked the server at a food station if they were the chef for that particular dish, and (with a big smile of pride) they would often answer yes.

The range of activities was the real standout... yoga, flying trapeze (yes, really), snorkling (20 minute boat ride to the reef), sailing, kayaking, tennis, pickleball, etc. All included. My wallet never made an appearance.

I want to specifically shout out kudos to Simone, who did such a great job with the bootcamp circuit classes and the magical stretch session on the beach pier. Emily was also the perfect yoga instructor... so relaxing while also challenging, cooled by an ocean breeze.

Bar staff, evening entertainers, cleaning staff... all were consistently great and you ended up feeling a sense of "family" in no time. This is partly because this particular Club Med is smaller in size than most, so you don't feel lost in some sprawling complex. Instead you constantly run into familiar faces on walkways or at the bars, and cheer loudly for the staff members that attempt insanely tough trapeze catches (I am looking at you, Simone).

My entire family left with smiles on our faces, and in a much better place than when we arrived. Well done.

Amazing beach, beautiful resort, delicious food, friendliest staff, and tons of activities. Paradise!
