Columbus Isle Bahamas

We had an amazing time at Club Med Bahamas! Huge thanks to Sacha for an incredible sailing experience, Thomas for the thrilling jet ski rides, and Omar for keeping the drinks flowing at the bar. You all made our vacation unforgettable! Can’t wait to come back!

I have been to Club Med for more than 30 years. Club Med never disappoint me. I am only going to review the tennis activities at this Club Med at this period because they really surprised me how excellent it was. I was there for 2 weeks in February.
There are 10 clay courts, all in good condition. There were lessons for all level in the morning except Monday and Thursday. The 2 GOs were really amazing, GUEDI and CHARLES, exceeded my expectations!. The lessons were professionally run, even sometimes we had more 20 in the advance level. In the afternoon at 4pm we had tournaments for doubles except Monday. Everyone is welcome, even solo player. They managed to pair us evenly during the different matches, so it was really fun. Both GOs embraces the Club Med motto : friendly games and lots of fun. I have never had so much fun playing tennis matches !!! I definitely are going to miss both them. Maybe we will cross paths again in another Club Med. I hope so !

This is our 6th CM property and 12th stay. I will say this is our FAVORITE ( but differentiate between including kids and not). CM has fantastic resorts for kids, but this is NOT one. We read all of these reviews and actually had a very different, and five star experience! Adding comments to reference what we were concerned about:

• Need more lounge chairs and umbrellas at beach, but we could find by 10am at almost resort capacity. Also they spray for sand fleas dusk and dawn. I didn't get one bite, but my husband was chonped on (bring Benadryl)
• Luca, the Chief walked the beach every day and fully engaged and wanted feedback
• wifi is free and works great
• sign up for snorkeling was ridiculous, but at almost capacity, we were able to get on the boat
• Go's were 100% awesome, and 99% of local staff was great. 1% local staff was cranky (but Jermaine, Janae, and Leroy were awesome!)
• The shows were AMAZING, the white night dinner, the effort put into the Superbowl and Valentines day...Superb.
  We love the Club Med model. I fell like negative reviews come from a lack of understanding of the actual resort. If you wanted a kids club, then you shouldn't have brought your kids here. If you wanted a vibrant community outside of the Club Med property, then you shouldn't have come here, if you expected this to be the Ritz, then you shouldn't have come here...It's a gorgeous spot, the staff and food are amazing, the entertainment is great, the activities are great. It's vacation, relax. There isn't anything that isn't overcome by the sunsets and water +++ here!

The staff (for the most part) we're the highlight of our trip. We're looking forward to tossing Columbus isle into one of our yearly trips, the perfect place to unwind and relax. The perfect distance from the airport, we highly recommend walking to the resort if your plane ride was as comfortable as ours.
